İlk sergisini 15 Temmuz temalı eserlerle yapan Ata Buz Müzesi, ikinci sergisinin kapılarını da 15 kişilik bir ekibin yaklaşık 3 ay süren bir çalışmanın ardından hazırladığı “Cumhuriyet ve Çocuk” sergisiyle açtı. Eksi 10 derece sıcaklıkta, misafirlerini ağırlayan, ses, ışık ve duman gösterileri ile görsel bir şölen sunan Ata Buz Müzesinde, Atatürk Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi (GSF) tarafından buz kalıplarının işlenmesiyle hazırlanan Türkiye haritası, Atatürk ve Nenehatun Portreleri, Huma Kuşu ve çocuklara yönelik çeşitli heykeller yer alıyor.
Ata Buz Müzesi Koordinatörü ve GSF Heykel Bölümü Anabilim Dalı Başkanı Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bulat, Erzurum’un kültürel ve tarihsel birikimini buzdan eserlerle yansıtmak istediklerini ve bunun için de kent için önem arz eden kişi ve mekânları seçtiklerini ifade etti. Prof. Dr. Bulat: “Kadim şehir Erzurum’un mirasını ulusal ve uluslararası arenaya taşımak, turizm faaliyetlerine katkı sunmak, yabancı sanatçıları davet ederek workshoplar vesilesiyle karşılıklı etkileşimde bulunmak arzusundayız. Bu doğrultuda hem müzemizin fuaye alanında hem de oldukça donanımlı olan buz müzemizde çeşitli etkinlikler düzenliyor, misafirlerimizi ağırlamayı sürdürüyoruz. Bu kapsamda hazırlanan Cumhuriyet ve Çocuk temalı sergimize de tüm vatandaşlarımızı aileleriyle birlikte bekliyoruz” şeklinde konuştu.
Rektör Çomaklı: “Müzemiz, Sosyal Yaşamın Bir Parçası Haline Geldi”
Atatürk Üniversitesinin sanata ve sanatçıya destek misyonuyla açılışını gerçekleştirdiği ve o günden günümüze kadar başarı çalışmaları sanatseverlerle buluşturan Ata Buz Müzesinin Erzurum açısından önemli bir değere dönüştüğünü aktaran Rektör Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı ise sıfırın altında 10 derecede, 12 ay boyunca buzdan heykellerin yapılmasına imkân tanıyan müzede, 8 buz üretim makinesi, 16 buz kalıp makinesi, 400 metrekarelik sergi alanının yer aldığını söyledi. Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi öğrencilerinin eğitim görüp, sanatsal faaliyetleri gerçekleştirmesi açısından da büyük önem taşıyan Ata Buz Müzesinin kentin cazibe merkezleri arasına girdiğini belirterek: “Hem eğitim faaliyetlerinin yürütüldüğü hem de sosyal yaşamın bir parçası haline gelen Ata Buz Müzemiz, Cumhuriyet ve Çocuk sergisi ile yeniden kapılarını misafirlerine açtı. Birçok anlamlı eserin yer aldığı bu güzel sergimize tüm sanatseverleri davet ediyorum” dedi.
Ata Ice Museum, which held its first exhibition with July 15-themed works, opened the doors of its second exhibition with the “Republic and Child” exhibition, prepared by a team of 15 people after approximately 3 months of work. Ata Ice Museum Coordinator and Head of GSF Sculpture Department Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bulat stated that they wanted to reflect the cultural and historical background of Erzurum with ice works and for this they chose people and places that are important for the city. Prof. Dr. Bulat: “We want to carry the heritage of the ancient city Erzurum to the national and international arena, contribute to tourism activities, invite foreign artists and interact through workshops. In this regard, we organize various events both in the foyer area of our museum and in our well-equipped ice museum, and we continue to host our guests. “We are waiting for all our citizens, along with their families, to our Republic and Children-themed exhibition prepared in this context,” he said.

Rector Prof. stated that the Ata Ice Museum, which was opened by Atatürk University with the mission of supporting art and artists and has brought together successful works with art lovers since then, has become an important value for Erzurum. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that the museum, which allows ice sculptures to be made at 10 degrees below zero for 12 months, has 8 ice production machines, 16 ice mold machines and a 400 square meter exhibition area. Stating that the Ata Ice Museum, which is of great importance for the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts to receive education and carry out artistic activities, has become one of the attractions of the city, he said: “Our Ata Ice Museum, where educational activities are carried out and has become a part of social life, opens its doors to its guests again with the Republic and Children exhibition.” opened. “I invite all art lovers to this beautiful exhibition, which includes many meaningful works,” he said.
