Erzurum’da “Hayvan Hastanesi Gezici Hizmet Aracı” ile besicinin ayağına götürülen veterinerlik hizmeti, Atatürk Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören öğrencileri de uzmanlaştırıyor. Atatürk Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Koordinatörlüğünce desteklenen ve Veteriner Fakültesi ile İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü iş birliğinde yürütülen “Erzurum Kırsalında Çiftçilerin Hayvanlarında Görülen Hastalıklar Üzerine Klinik Araştırma” projesi devam ediyor. Bu kapsamda dahiliye, cerrahi, doğum ve hayvan besleme alanlarındaki akademisyenlerden oluşan ekip, “Hayvan Hastanesi Gezici Hizmet Aracı” ile her hafta kırsal mahalleleri dolaşıyor. Camilerden verilen anonsla, öğrenciler eşliğinde besicilerin büyükbaş ve küçükbaş hayvanlarına ücretsiz sağlık taraması, ultrasonografi cihazı ile gebelik kontrolü, tedavi ve muayene yapan ekip, acil vakalara da anında müdahale ediyor. Böylece veterinerlik öğrencileri de saha deneyimi kazanmış oluyor. Son olarak Aziziye ilçesindeki Tınazlı Mahallesi’ne giden ve çok sayıda hayvanı muayene edip bazılarına acil müdahalede bulunan ekip, besicileri de hayvan sağlığı, beslenme, hastalıklardan korunma gibi konularda bilgilendirdi. Aynı zamanda ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunuyoruz” Veteriner Fakültesi İç Hastalıkları Ana Bilim Dalı Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Başak Hanedan, AA muhabirine, hayvanların genel muayenelerini yaptıklarını söyledi. Hastalık tanı ve sağaltımlarını öğrencilerle gerçekleştirdiklerini ifade eden Hanedan, şöyle konuştu: “Hayvanların hastalıklarının önlenmesi konusunda gerekli güncel bilgileri hayvan yetiştiricilerine de anlatıp eğitim veriyoruz. Projeyle hayvanları iyileştirip aynı zamanda ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunuyoruz. Öğrencilere derslerde ve hayvan hastanemizde güncel bilgileri ve uygulamaları öğretiyor sonrasında da saha koşullarında uygulamalı eğitim gerçekleştiriyoruz. Bu şekilde öğrencilerimize mezun olduklarında ilk gün yeterliliklerini kazandırma çalışmalarını sürdürüyoruz. Öğrencilerimizle komaya giren bir hayvana da acil müdahalede bulunduk.”

In this context, the team consisting of academics in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and animal nutrition travels to rural neighborhoods every week with the “Animal Hospital Mobile Service Vehicle”. With the announcement made from the mosques, the team, accompanied by students, carries out free health screenings, pregnancy checks with ultrasonography devices, treatment and examination of the cattle and sheep of the breeders, and also intervenes in emergency cases immediately. In this way, veterinary students also gain field experience. Finally, the team went to Tınazlı District in Aziziye district, examined many animals and gave emergency intervention to some of them, and informed the breeders about issues such as animal health, nutrition and disease protection. At the same time, we contribute to the country’s economy.” Prof. Dr. Başak Hanedan, faculty member of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, told the AA correspondent that they carry out general examinations of the animals. Stating that they carry out disease diagnosis and treatment with students, Hanedan said: “On the prevention of diseases in animals We also provide necessary up-to-date information and training to animal breeders. With the project, we heal animals and at the same time contribute to the country’s economy. We teach students current information and practices in classes and in our animal hospital, and then we provide practical training under field conditions. In this way, we continue our efforts to provide our students with their first-day qualifications when they graduate. “We also provided emergency intervention to an animal that fell into a coma with our students.”
