Dil kültürün taşıyıcısı ve aktarıcısı konumundadır. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde Türk edebiyatının zengin metin içeriğinde faydalanılarak kültür aktarımını sağlamak mümkünüdür. Bu projenin amacı, Atatürk Üniversitesi Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi’nde Türkçe öğrenen yabancı öğrencilere modern Türk hikâyelerinden oluşan ders içi etkinliklerle kültür aktarımı yapmak ve okuma becerilerini geliştirmektir. Hikâyeler aracılığıyla Türk kültüründe yer alan değerleri tanıtmak, kurgusal metinlerle öğrencilerin ilgilerini çekmek hedeflenmiştir. Bu kapsamda seçilen hikâyelerin Türk edebiyatını ve kültürünü temsil edecek nitelikte olması, sade ve akıcı bir dil ile yazılması, kurgusal açıdan canlı ve ilgi çekici olması ölçüt olarak belirlenmiştir. Ömer Seyfettin, Sait Faik Abasıyanık başta olmak Türk edebiyatının önemli hikâyecilerinden hikâyeler derlenmiştir. 4 hafta süre ile 1’er saatlik derslerde derlenen hikâyeler işlenmiştir. Hikâyelerin sonuna eklenen QR kodlarıyla öğrencilerin internet ortamında Türk kültürüne yönelik içeriklere ulaşması sağlanmıştır. Uygulanan etkinliklerden sonra öğrencilerin görüşleri alınmış ve çalışmaya yönelik izlenimleri tespit edilmiştir. Proje kapsamında uygulanan etkinliklerle öğrencilerin Türk kültürüne yönelik farkındalıklarının yükseldiği ve okuma becerisine yönelik revize edilen kurgusal metinlerin kullanımının yaygınlaşmasına yönelik görüş bildirdikleri saptanmıştır. Öğrenciler için alınan kitaplar ve etkinlikler için düzenlenen kitapçıklar ATA-TÖMER kurumuna bırakılmıştır. Language is the carrier and transmitter of culture. It is possible to ensure cultural transfer by making use of the rich text content of Turkish literature in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The aim of this project is to transfer culture and improve reading skills to foreign students learning Turkish at Atatürk University Application and Research Center through in-class activities consisting of modern Turkish stories. It is aimed to introduce the values in Turkish culture through stories and to attract the attention of students with fictional texts. In this context, the criteria were determined that the selected stories should represent Turkish literature and culture, be written in a simple and fluent language, and be fictionally lively and interesting. Stories from important storytellers of Turkish literature, especially Ömer Seyfettin and Sait Faik Abasıyanık, have been compiled. The compiled stories were taught in 1-hour lessons for 4 weeks. With the QR codes added at the end of the stories, students were able to access content related to Turkish culture on the internet. After the activities, the students’ opinions were taken and their impressions of the study were determined. It was determined that students’ awareness of Turkish culture increased with the activities implemented within the scope of the project and they expressed their opinions about the widespread use of revised fictional texts for reading skills. The books purchased for the students and the booklets prepared for the activities were left to ATA-TÖMER institution.
