Laboratuvarlar, bazı soyut kavram veya konuların anlaşılmasını sağlayan, öğrencilerin psikomotor becerilerini kullanarak görsel zekaya yönelmenin gerçekleştiği, belirli sınırları olan kontrol edilebilen ortamlardır. Gençler, zihinlerinde geliştirmiş oldukları kavramların niteliğinin daha iyi anlaşılması, yapacakları deney ve deney sonuçlarıyla pekiştirilebilmektedir.
“Lise Öğrencileri Laboratuvarla Buluşuyor ” projesi özellikle laboratuvar ortamını hiç görmemiş öğrencilerin bilime olan ilgilerinin arttırılması adına, Hınıs Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi öğrencilerine laboratuvar ortamının tanıtılmasını, laboratuvarda yer alan cihazların ve kullanımlarının öğretilmesini ve öğrencilerle deneyler yaptırılmasını amaçlamaktadır.
Hınıs Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi müdürü ile görüşüldükten sonra öğrencilerin Hınıs Meslek Yüksekokulu’na getirileceği tarih belirlenmiş ve öğrenci velilerinden izin alınmıştır. Hınıs Meslek Yüksekokulu’na getirilen öğrencilere laboratuvar ortamı tanıtılmış ve öğrenciler yapılan sunum ile laboratuvar hakkında bilgilendirilmiştir. Öğrencilere mikroskopta incelemeler yaptırılmış ve topraktan bakteri izolasyonu deneyinin yapılışı gösterilmiştir.

Laboratories are controllable environments with certain boundaries, which enable students to understand some abstract concepts or subjects and direct their attention to visual intelligence by using their psychomotor skills. Young people can gain a better understanding of the nature of the concepts they have developed in their minds and can be reinforced by the experiments they conduct and the results of the experiments.
The “High School Students Meet the Laboratory” project aims to introduce the laboratory environment to the students of Hınıs Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, to teach the devices in the laboratory and their uses, and to have students conduct experiments, in order to increase the interest in science of students who have never seen a laboratory environment.
After meeting with the principal of Hınıs Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, the date on which the students would be brought to Hınıs Vocational School was determined and permission was obtained from the students’ parents. The laboratory environment was introduced to the students brought to Hınıs Vocational School and the students were informed about the laboratory through a presentation. The students were examined under a microscope and were shown how to perform a bacterial isolation experiment from soil.
