‘’Minik Kalplerden Küçük Patilere’’ projesi ile Oltu Karabekir İlkokulu 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan çalışma grubuna hayvan konulu bilgilendirici sunum yapılarak ardından öğrencilerle oyunlar oynayıp hazırladığımız hediye kitaplar ve mamalar ile hayvan bilincini oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır. Proje fikri sokakta hayvanlara nasıl davranması gerektiğini bilmeyen çocukları fark etmemiz sonucunda aslında bu bilincin küçük yaşlardan itibaren onlara kazandırmamız gerektiğini ve bu doğrultuda onlarla birlikte neler yapabiliriz, düşüncesinden ortaya çıkmıştır. Proje uygulama sürecinde yapılan çalışmalar okul idaresi bilgisi dahilinde ve birlikte hareket edilmiştir. Proje kapsamında temin edilen materyaller konu doğrultusunda işlevi olup öğrencilere fayda sağlayacak şekilde seçilmiştir. Bilgi verici sunumdan sonra öğrencilerin fikirleri alınarak karşılıklı etkileşim haline geçilmiştir. İzletilen videolarla hayvanlar hakkındaki düşüncelerini pekiştirilmiştir. Hazırlanan bilmece oyunuyla hem eğlenip hem bilgi sahibi olmaları sağlanmıştır. Plastik kaplarla paketlediğimiz kedi ve köpek mamalarını öğrencilere dağıtarak hayvanlarla yakınlaşmalarını ve onlarda güzel duygular bırakması hedeflenmiştir. Katılımlarından dolayı eşlik eden 3. Sınıf öğrencilerine eğitici kitaplar eşliğinde kurşun kalemler proje kapsamında onlara hediye edilmiştir. Bu proje Atatürk Üniversitesi Toplumsal Duyarlılık Projeleri tarafından desteklenmiştir.
The “From Little Hearts to Tiny Paws” project aimed to create animal awareness among a working group comprising 3rd-grade students from Oltu Karabekir Primary School by providing informative presentations on animal-related topics, playing games with the students, and offering prepared gift books and pet food.
The idea for the project emerged when it was noticed that there were children who didn’t know how to interact with animals on the streets. The realization dawned that instilling this consciousness from a young age was crucial. The initiative was established based on the thought of understanding what could be done together with the children in this direction.
Throughout the implementation of the project, all actions were conducted in coordination with and under the supervision of the school administration. Materials obtained for the project were selected to serve a purpose in line with the topic, ensuring they would benefit the students. Following the informative presentation, there was an exchange of ideas with the students, creating a mutual interaction. Videos shown further reinforced the students’ thoughts about animals. A riddle game was prepared to ensure that they had fun while gaining knowledge. By distributing cat and dog food packaged in plastic containers, the aim was to encourage the students to get closer to animals and leave positive feelings in them.
In appreciation of their participation, 3rd-grade students were gifted educational books along with pencils within the scope of the project.
